Both the SLE and SLT models of the 2023 Acadia are given a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It creates 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, which moves this SUV around O'Fallon and beyond nicely. For the AT4 and Denali trim levels, the Acadia gets a 3.6L V6 that creates 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque instead.
The Acadia comes standard with front-wheel drive but also offers all-wheel drive. There is one exception to that, however. The Acadia AT4 comes exclusively with all-wheel drive, and it also gains hill descent control, hill hold assist, and all-terrain tires for more capability off the beaten path.
